Hmm,the old girl's leaking her alien lifeblood

Post by HDI Dave »

Afternoon all :)

Couple of lights on the dash recently, including the big red STOP! light, going to an fro work, tired,so left it :P

Stop light staying on,so topped up the LHM.

Noticed a leak under the OSR wheel...usually the dog marking his territory, but this time it's a green patch..hmm

So car's off the road, nicking the wife's fezza

She's leaking from (looks like), behind this bracket:

Seems to be leaking from behind that 'holdy on bracket',I reckon the pipe's corroded.(although it looks better than my ww II sphere grenades..which seem dry!

What do you reckon fellas?

a) Can you get that section of curly pipe, gsf etc?
and where do the ends go to,I can't make it out..yet.Anyone a pic/schematic :)
b) Why is it curly! does a replacement have to be?
c) Can I use brake pipe, fittings, from the factors?

Oh,and what pipe actually is it? I'm guessing the suspension, but could be a fancy brake pipe (blardy foreign thang  ) for all I know!

Cheers, Dave :)

looks like the brake pipe, it will run inside the subframe and down the trailing arm to the calliper, if the pipe goes over the subframe just drop it down, you may find it joins up there, pipe and fitting can be made to spec by plaeides (think thats how its spelt).
That sphere looks like its very old indeed!!!

67?

SIXTY,

SEVEN???

pffft!

Off to the factors I must go then :P

Jakers, for that price I'll curl me own

Cheers, all :)

P.s, if it has to be a flexi..then why can't a rubber flexi be used, as on front ones,(on 'normal  cars) brake flexi pipes..

Sounds familiar....http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... =3&t=39088

Don't even think about wasing £70 on a steel OE - you won't be able to fit it in any case! Note, you probably can't buy one from the factors, as it needs a Citroen flare on the end, not a std one, and most won't have the tools to do it.
