Lexia problems
I have at last sort of got my Lexia going, thanks to a member sending me a disc that works, the Citroen C5 side seems to be OK but the Peugeot side seems to be fussy about what car you have, it comes up with 'connect' on some cars but unfortunately not on the 406 , it says I need a download but will not give it to me because it says my customer number is wrong.... help!

Re: Lexia problems
Hi Peter,
I think you also need to install the 'Peugeot Planet' software as well as the Lexia application to be able to diagnose Peugeot cars. Did the installation disc you used have both applications on it?
By the way the latest evolution/upgrade of the PSA diagnostic software is known as Diagbox and if you are interested then joining the forum at http://www.mhhauto.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will provide a wealth of information and download links for upgrading.

Re: Lexia problems
Hi Ken
I do have Peugeot planet installed, if I click on the first car the '1007' the picture comes up and it tells me to connect to the vehicle, when I select '406' it says it needs an update but my customer number is incorect, I have just tried it again and it says ' connot connect to the server (error code 1). I have checked out that website but apparantly it needs someone to sponsor me.

Re: Lexia problems
Don't try to connect or update and you'll more than likely it'll work fine, simply bypass that stage.

Unfortunately it won't bypass that stage, that's as far as it gets.

Re: Lexia problems
I have just run through the procedure again with every possible variation. it offers to connect me to any car on the list except the 405 and 406 it then comes up with 'This application can not be started as it has not been activated. The customer code is not valid (error code 4). It seems that if I change my car for a 407 it will work allright.

Re: Lexia problems
I would try a fresh install of Peugeot Planet from the disc or alternatively install DiagBox. I tried my DiagBox / Peugeot Planet 2000 setup and it worked OK on the 406 model as far as plugging in to the diagnostic socket, which was as far as I could go since I don't have a 406!

I will give it a go Ken. What's this DiagBox?

Re: Lexia problems
Be very mindful that not all Lexia's are compatible with Diagbox, the result of which can apparently stuff up the interface.

Re: Lexia problems
I tried DiagBox on junior SWMBO's 206. It made a right dog's of it PP2000 was perfect and luckily my interface lives to fight on...DickieG wrote:Be very mindful that not all Lexia's are compatible with Diagbox, the result of which can apparently stuff up the interface.
I find with later Pugs and PP2000 that you are offered several flavours of the same model - e.g. multiplexed, non-multiplexed, smoking, non-smoking and so on.
Try them all and see which makes the best fist of it.
But yes, as Richard says, forget DiagBox exists...

Re: Lexia problems
Diagbox has worked OK on my Chinese Lexia clone hardware but unless you are interested in being able to use it on the very latest models then it is probably not worth the hassle and the earlier versions of Lexia and PP2000 will be adequate for the majority of DIY Citroen/Peugeot enthusiasts.

Re: Lexia problems
An update ... I have just connected it to the C5 and it doesn't work on that either, it gets as far as giving me the VIN and asking for the RP code which it accepts and then we go back into Peugeot mode ... it wants validating, connect to .... which it won't. I am just deleting the programme while awaiting inspirition.
Jim. This is quite an old one I bought off an XM club member .... take no notice of me I was looking at the date on the laptop plug

Re: Lexia problems
A full reinstall of the software should crack it Peter. The symptoms certainly suggest it should...
