Bugger! Just thought! There's at least £50 of diesel in the tank! What's the best way of getting it out? Is there an anti syphon trap?

Any ideas?

or take it out the return line :) under the bonnet, if you have a little pump. or use the priming bulb if you've got a bored child....

Using that method, it'll be an adult before the tank is drained

Paddy Hopkirk used to as a company! Got one for an RS2000 somewhere.

Steer clear of 2.3 Turbo Saab. It'll cost you more than the car to get timing chain replaced.

2.0 Turbo is more than adequate in either 900 or 9000 guise. I have 900 T16S myself. Rather quick.

As someone above said, stick with PSA if you want cheap motoring. You'll not find another resource like FCF to keep you car on the road for peanuts.

if you've got access to a compressor you could always pressurise the return line from the tank under the bonnet and collect the diesel from the supply line....

would be fun :)

Jack up the rear of the car to gain height then use a clear hose and suck it out to allow it to syphon or use a longer length of garden hose which allows you to have a loop to avoid a mouthful, simples.

What's different besides the rear 'leccy windows? Some LX's have AC/climate as far as I understand, what else is different? I'm sure someone could get you a pair of rear window motors easily enough!!

The S2 HDI LX I have now is BETTER speced then the 2 S1 SXs I've had.

Except for electric rear windows (that didn't work in one if them) and the rear window blind (which I miss).

I didn't bother in the end. The fuel left in the 1.9TD was about 30% WVO.

Heard the HDIs aren't too fond of veggie oil?!?
