Both lights in my boot don,t work.
Because those lights only work if the boot door is open, there must be a problem with sensor. I also think so, because the car does not warn me if i drive with open boot.
Can anyone tell me where can i find the sensor, or at least a pressure point for it...maybe its just poor connection.
thx

Re: c5 estate lights in boot
The XM has a switch containing a ball bearing which runs up one end and closes the contacts when the tailgate is lifted, if the C5 uses the same system it will be inside the tailgate somewhere.

The boot open switch on the C5 is an integral part of the latch. Another possible cause is broken wires where the wiring loom goes from the body to the bootlid ?

Thanks wheeler. The wires were indeed broken at the hinge.
