Xantia v6 dash reassembly

Post by Ozzie Kuma »

I have just replaced my heater matrix but can not reposition the dash. It is a few cms out to the right.

Can someone assist with any trick to reposition it please.

I assume there is another locating bolt ( the same as the one with the fibre washer on the right) on the left side of the firewall behind all the hydraulic pipes, should I undo that too?

I have connected the "matrix to firewall" bit to the matrix, should I put it in position on the firewall first?

Any hints gratefully received.

Not sure on your dash issue, but you should completely refit the heater box before putting the dash back in for sure.
Always check that your water pipes will go onto the matrix as well, because I had a few Nissen matrix's that were faulty and the pipes would not fit on fully, and I had to remove them again. Since that I will not fit Nissen, only Valeo.

Not a V6, but shocked to discover this gappy bâtard. Ony mechanics in there before, have been two main dealers and one RR specialist who dabbles in Citroëns.
