Chaps, has anyone replaced this (I am assuming there is one?)

Mine wheel has a percetable up down movement these days.. about 1mm I guess

You'll be pleased to hear that the bush is not sold separately but comes a part of the whole column, a bargain @ £208.85 :shock:

lol..

I will leave it and see what the MOT says I think.. The upper slip ring is not in the car, wonder if that will help settle things down a bit...

if its like a BX one the lower bush drops out of the columb tube,

the fix for that is push the bush back in then tap the bottom edge of the tube over in 2 or 3 place's to stop it droping back out,

would the lower bush have any bearing on upper column movement Mal?

i belive it can do John
if the lower bush has droped out of place the columb shaft will wagle at the bottom which can give the impresion the top is moveing about,

This wearing of the bush could be caused by being stuck in traffic jams and gripping the wheel while rocking it violently in frustration :shock:

Is there any way of fitting a generic bush?..........that sounded like some kind of gardening question :-D
