selecting gears
I have a 2005 2.2 relay van. I had the gear selector cables changed approx 6 months ago after being advised from a clutch company that there is nothing wrong with my clutch as my gears would not go into reverse. I now cannot get 5th gear and reverse is now very stiff to get into and sometimes doesn't go into gear. Can anybody help please
Re: selecting gears
Hi
It sounds a bit like the selector cables need adjusting to me, if they have put new ones on they may not have got the adjustment quite right.
Does it struggle to select 5th and R all the time, moving or not?

Re: selecting gears
I had this on a Xantia, the crimping on the end of the outer cable had come loose letting the outer slide in and out instead of moving the inner as it should.
