Richard's Lexia ran out of disk space trying to record them...

Lexi, I'd just love to have a crack at this but sadly I can't at this time. No time, no money and no space. I need to be retired and my kids out of Uni before I can even consider a project like this again  :(

You really need to clear the fault codes and start again. If the battery has been flat and people have been testing things and unplugging them all over the place it may have brought up many fault codes which are erroneous.

Fault code diagnosis is a handy tool but can cause it's own problems and lead to mis-diagnosis on many occasions.

New engine, wiring loom, 4 tyres, wheel, N/S/F window, battery, 4x disc's + pads and that's just from memory, add that lot up and you'll soon come to the conclusion that this ex minicab without any evidence of a service in the last 60k miles is scrap, even if the car is repaired what will it be worth? C6 values appear to be falling fast from what I can see, last year they started at around £10k but there have now been a couple for sale for what must be months now starting @ £6.5k and yet still appear to remain unsold.

If I had a large storage unit with spare space I might have bid up to £1k but no more, for me the value of the car is in breaking it for spares.

I'm with you on this one Richard, Unfortunately it's nothing but a parts car.................. Particularly bearing in mind that my old one (a Cat D write off) sold for about £1500 and that was a runner #-o I do wonder where people pick these numbers from :dunno:

Definitely not worth saving in my opinion. As Richard said, a good one can be had from £6.5-£7K and to get that one going could well cost near or even more than that. Why bother.

The latest auction ended at £2540, gradually getting cheaper with each listing

If the final price keeps falling with each auction I might need to make room for it soon
