saxo 1.1 srarting problem

hi..

got a request from a customer.. car is a T plate saxo 1.1.. they are having starting problems when cold.. but appears fine when warm.. is there anything obvious on the tu i could look at. or just run a lexia session and see what sensors are dooing what...

Coolant Temperature Sensor is the first port of call Paul... Mr. Lexia will tell you how it's looking.

Plugs are worth a look at as they're hard to get at and may well have been ignored for years.

Also, check for manifold air leaks, especially on the breather pipes. They get a bit delicate as the years roll by. I once knew one hole all its pistons because of a broken breather spigot. It made the engine run very weak.
