Lexia kit on eBay

Post by Millerboy79 »

Hello peeps,
I've found this on eBay and was wondering if it is worth buying in the new year, or is it just another robbing b^&*$%d trying to fob people off with tripe?

Quite a few of us have the aftermarket Lexias now, they are pretty handy to have and quite amazing at what you can do with them. Especially on C5s, which apparently have 19 on board computers!

That could well be the seller I bought mine from, it was a similar price.

Looks fine to me, and much cheaper than I paid back in April! I use mine on a C5, not found a single issue with it yet. I have added cruise control, monitored some live parameters, and cleared faults with no issue. I have also used it on a C3 to diagnose and EGR problem.

off topic, but @mikey,
was adding cruise control just a matter of turning on cc option in configuration menu after installing all the necessary parts?

I was able to see the cruise switch responses via Lexia as the first test after fitting, then yes I simply enabled it. That task alone almost covered the cost of my Lexia purchase as a main dealer would of charged around £100.

Has anyone found a Lexia 3 kit that can code keys other than original dealer Lexia's?

thanks mikey.
i have cc factory installed and enabled but it's not working. stalk and brake switch work. im guessing its because i have a number of faults related to cc operations - autobox, esp/abs and so on.

No wonder it's half price!!

£51.00 is a great price - wasn't so impressed with the £33.33 shipping to the UK though!
There's always the possibility of import tax on that when it arrives too I guess?

Regards,
Lee.

It is a possibility but they are generally savvy to that and will mark it as being £15 of as a gift so you avoid those charges (they will hit you with a handling charge too if customs involve themselves. Guess how I know :(

Just bought a new graphics card from Taiwan and they put the value as £15 :) No charges.
