C5 rear windscreen only half clearing

Hey guys

Noticed a couple days ago that the element in the rear windscreen is only half working. The top half is clearing mist away and heating up but the bottom half isn't heating up at all.
Other than the fuse, what could cause this?

Ok the number 26 fuse is fine. It's the bottom 5 bars of the element that aren't doing anything. Also, the boot light doesn't work. Maybe these could be linked...

Not sure about the C5 but generally all the heating elements work from the same supply and fuse. It's possible that the elements are damaged in these bottom 5 bars. You used to be able to get a repair kit with a conductive paint that you can bridge the gaps with.

Makes sense. Might get some of the conductive paint from halfords and give it a try.
