CRUISE CONTROL STALK

Hi
I am looking for a cruise control stalk for my citroen C5 HDI 2004 ,I know that the same stalk is fitted to various models of car, are they all the same ?

Can you please tell me what the numbers mean, are both of these below speed control stalks.

The RPO refers to when your car was built. If it is a 2004 it will be a mark 1 so could be either of the first 2 parts quoted above.
I haven't got a C5 but on most modern citroens you will find the RPO number on a sticker when you open the drivers door. Either near the door hinge or sometimes on the door itself near the latch.

They're all the stalks as stated above, part numbers first then rpo numbers which tell you when the item changed.

I have had a look for the numbers the only numbers i can find are near the door hinge,
10096CT
10209
LQHC
These do not relate to the RPO numbers above,can the number be anywhere else on the car? don't want to buy the wrong one.

Been on the web and found the Citroën Production Date Calculator,and put in the numbers as above.
10096 /30 June 2004
10204 / 21 October 2004
What part number do i need to buy.

In that case this should be the one suitable for your car.

If you are ordering from a dealer they should know which one will suit your car, hopefully!

I should have said earlier, the switches don't cost as much as you might suspect at a main dealer. Don't go looking at second hand ones before checking the price. I watched a second hand one (for a xsara but basically the same) sell on ebay for £70

I can't remember the exact price but im sure mine was about £40-50.

If you do go the second hand route, be sure to get the correct one, the C5 facelifts have a cruise stalk with resume on the end button, this stalk won't work on a S1 C5.

Got a stalk on order from Citroen the part no has changed to 6242Z9 and it costs £54.54.
I live in Leigh nr Manchester anyone in the area with a lexia who could sort out the electronics for the cruise control for me?
