Nothing wrong with Series 2 Xms at all.

Its one of those dreadful TCT things, so no big loss.

I was going to say that at least someone made use of the bumper - but they didn't, its inside. I'm afraid mine will be going that way in a year or two. I'm thinking of breaking my green 2.1 estate if anyone is interested.

I don't fancy taking it out Paul but I have another one that I bought with an engine which should be OK, they usually are - unlike auto's :-D

I haven't scrapped a XM for autobox failure yet; still nice to have 4 autoboxes in the spares pile!

Would that have the 288×28 Bosch calipers?

Hi Addo

No the calipers will be 283 x 26 on most XM's.
Exceptions are:
Very early ones have smaller 22mm thick disks.
Very late V6's and very late 2.5TD's have the ones you are looking for.

Thanks, John.

I'd noted the ES9J4 cars had the correct caliper, albeit with a different "support montage", just wasn't sure how far back it went. There is a fellow breaking a red late XM (99?) on Leboncoin with V6 and LPG that looks a cracker. Auto, though - not the super rare manual!

Cheers, Adam.
