Should the clock illuminate when the sidelights are on, if so how accessible is the bulb to change it.

Cannot remember for sure so need to check but I think the clock does illuminate in mine with the side lights

I don't think it illuminates. It never have on mine anyway.

Sorted this today it does illuminate it comes on with the side lights, its a pig to change though, steering wheel off, parts of the dash and radio, horrible.

access the clock by pushing out the switch to the right of the clock then you can push the clock out from the back with your finger 5 minutes no problem.

Hey, Puddle Jumper - brilliant!!
The front of the switches just pry away [if you push down from the top edge and lever behind with a blunt blade] revealing the bulb.
However, I can't get the rest of the switch out and there's a couple of tiny springs...
How did you get the body of the switch to the right of the clock to come out? [It's the hazard warning light switch].
