Xantia Cd Changer/Stereo Question

Post by i3 »

Hey all,
have a question regarding the wiring for the cd changer.
in my mk2 xantia exclusive, there is a cd changer in the boot.
what i would like to know is, the wire i can see in the boot going into the changer has 13 pin din plug on the end, does it have a 13 pin din plug on the stereo side also? or does it have a different plug on the back of the radio headunit? or, does it have a 13 pin din plug on the other side, which plugs into another wire which then goes all the way back to the radio headunit?
anybody know the route the wiring takes between the radio headunit at the front, to the cd changer in the boot?

thanks

This is a snippet from the manual, not very helpful though, there is a change of system according to the rpo number part way through the series 2 range.

New CD changer (blue 12 way connector) .
New CD changer support .
The connection from the CD changer to the radio is specific (via the passenger compartment harness and the dashboard harness)

the one in mine (99 hdi exclusive) was the same connection at both ends, looked similar to a JVC one, it stayed as one wire front to back and ran down the n/s under the carpet
