eurocarparts sister site (cheaper)

Post by 411514 »

Seems to be a sister company of euro car parts, exactly the same stock but about 3/4 of the price, bit irritated now as i have just bought a fair bit of stuff from ECP, anyway http://www.carparts4less.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Edit: although ECP do have a 25% code atm

What ever you do, do NOT touch transmech clutches from them. I did, I ignored everyones warnings and fitted one to my old 1998 Rover 414 - at first it seemed brilliant, however after a couple of thousand miles it started juddering.

Took about 60K for juddering to start on Cassy's transmech, 20K later and it was nearly worn down to the rivets

a lot of ECP's parts are a bit iff'y at the price they charge, so the parts that site sell well sub standerd might be the first thought that comes to mind :shock: :evil: :evil: [-X ????

I've used literally scores of transmech clutches from ecp. They don't work so well in certain models, (astra 8v particularily) and for a lot of citroens they do Valeo at little extra. (certainly for trade deals). Depends whether you are trying to save every penny or not. I'd rather use o.e. evey time butoften people will try to save £20 or £30 if they can.

Tal;king of ECP. I read a few days ago, the guy that owns it has recently sold the business for 225 million quid. He started 30 years ago after buying a bankcrupt motor spares shop for £5000. Why didn't I think of that
