Do you still have your Xantia estate Franklin?

It would be worth your while making him a cheeky offer for the whole car.

Yep, had it a couple of years now atleast. It's a perfect workhorse and since I've put a tuning box onto it, it's much better! :-D 2000W HDi Estate in Silver - only an LX though. Was 1 Doctor Owner before we got it. No point in selling it as it's not worth anything, and it's so useful!

Space is the trouble though Robert, and we're trying to get car's cleared ready for the winter...

Take the seats out and weigh it in! Throw the old seats in the scrapper. Job done!

No its DEFO a Series 2 car.. Firstly, R reg was change over so Both S1 and S2;s are on the R plate, secondly, those ARE S2 for three reasons...

The rear seat belt buckles are Long and NOT recessed into the rear seat squab... Second, the door pockets at the front have S2 deep stowage as fitted to S2 cars... and thats DEFO a S2 steering wheel with the more pronounced Air Bag boss with horn on it...

Thanks for that John!
did you have any probs with air bag light on dash when you changed seats? if so how did you get round it (take bulb out???). and if you fit non air bag seats in an air bag equipped car does it affect main air bags as well?
Sorry if i,m asking dumb questions but dont want to go for seats if its gonna cause me loads of air bag woes!!!
Regards.

Is the fact that these are electrically powered and heated seats not going to be a problem in a non exclusive?

For the electric motors, you just need to provide a fused switched supply. For the heaters, you also need the control switches, or you could just pretend that the heaters aren't there (they are likely broken anyway).

Heaters you can live without. I've had leather interiors in Xantias for years now and apart from trying them and seeing if they work or not (usually not) I have never used them, even in the depths of winter...

Anyway, the one time I did try one it felt like I'd wet myself
