Post by qc64 »

Hiya everyone im new here so a BIG hello! great w/site! well built moderators!

Anyway i wonder if anyone could help me please? i own a 2002 Xsara Picasso and the drivers side passenger door has been replaced by me today as the old one was smashed up, Anyway the door fitted but when i close the door fully i rubs and pushes the driver's door slightly out? so my question to you all is what am i doing wrong? & is there a way to adjust the hinges please?

Many thanks to you all..

hi and welcome

is it a rear door you have fitted is catching the front door,
if so it sounds like something elss got bent besides the door,

each half of the hindges are welded onto both the pillar and the door,

there is a tool for bending/setting them up which bodyshops use,

its like a jaw on the end of a legth of steel bar,

can you add picy's of the door/gap/overlapp,

were are you located,

Hi Malcom thanks for replying! well the door was in a right state cause it had been for some reason unknown to me sanded down and resprayed but they left it at the primer level and didnt spray the colour of the car so the door was rusting and all primer? we are not sure if the car has had a bang in the past but tomorrow i will add some pics for you, i am based in the uk Grantham, Thanks again malcom!
