Which Heater Marix MAKE

Post by citroenxm »

Hi all..

The X plate HDi xantia on its way to MOT station last night blew a MASSIVE cloud of steam in my face from the heater vents then steamed the window up... So I quickly put it back on cold and stuck the air con on the clear it.. then when I got to the MOT place undo the expansion cap to loose so pressure didn't build up...

Anyway.. I know what it means, so which make do I but?? Nissens, Valeo, copy??

The joys... Jim, you fancy dooing it for me???   :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hi Paul

My rad man always went for Nissens cores for preference.
Claimed better material quality justified paying a bit more.
In practice either type should be fine for use in higher mileage cars.

I'd definitely say steer clear of the copies. Valeo if you can get one or Nissins as John says but if all else fails, the German ones offered by GSF seem Ok and Xac's car has one. It's the ones from the other mob that seem a bit on the iffy side...

Failing that, see what AEP have to offer...

Hey Jim. When you think about the Matrix failures. Down to price? What should we expect for 40 quid. Look how much a nice lil Mocal oil cooler is.........much better quality construction and materials?
