Xantia sinking

Post by Fox »

Hi there,
As I've spent the week with my Xantia fully loaded with people, I've noticed something and I'd like to check its normal.
Basically, with the car fully loaded it self levels nicely. Then, when I stop the car and turn the engine off, and everyone gets out, the back end goes up as the people get out of the car. 5 seconds later or so, the car levels back to normal ride height, making a faint hissing noise as it does it.
Is this normal?
Also, once when it sank back down to normal height it make a rather comical 'pffrtttt' noise...

When the people get out of the car, the compression on the spheres is lessened, and the car goes up. The height corrector is then triggered to release fluid back to the tank until the back of the car is at the correct height. Once this is achieved, it stops sinking.
Perfectly normal.

Yep, completely normal behaviour. The C5 does it as well, although it is silent in operation.
