HELP Citroen C5 mk1 2003 heater blowers staying on.

Post by waynedance »

Hi my heater blower fans are staying on, the lcd display states no fans on, the fan & eco button do not do anything when pressed.

Please help do I need a secondhand climate control unit?

There are two types of heater/airconditioning in a C5: fully automatic with buttons to press and manual with dials to rotate. There's a discussion here http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?t=20694 with further links to identify what you have.

Unfortunately the two links to pictures in the previous post's link are now dead. Here a few more posts here that might help:

As you can see it's not an unknown problem!

I assume you have got AUTO Air Con with Dual heater Zones..

If so, it will be the resister pack located by the Clutch pedal in the side of the Heater box.. Theres a plastic panel cover to the left of the pedal, remove this, and then locate TWO plugs that are plugged into GREEN sockets next to each other..

Theres two 8mm bolts top and bottom holding it in.. remove these and draw out.

Im about to fit one next week, but picking the offending item up from our dealer. The Resiter Pack is only 72 quid..
