FCF Couriers going to France, empty van.

Post by handyman »

I am going over to France with an empty LWB van on the weekend of the 29/9 to 3/10. My route is through Dieppe to Main et Loire and returning the same way, although I will be loaded coming back.

I am bringing back some household effects and a selection of Mehari body panels, for my next project,.

However, I may have a bit of space left in the van and I have about a whole day to trawl the area for parts, as I know one or two interesting locations for parts.

A. Does anybody want anything bought back (within reason, chaps)? :P

B. Does anybody want anything taken over? Must be on or near my route, as I'll be driving through at about 4am!

I will NOT be bringing back any illegal immigrants (donot care how much you will pay) or any fish, garlic, cheese, etc. as the van is not refrigerated.

PM me if you have a need.

H

BTW. Its my birthday tomorrow. :gt: :tgif: :drink: :-({|=

I have my eye on a Peugeot 604 towbar which is for sale in Saint Malo. Would you have room for such a thing?

Sorry, St.Malo is way off my map on this trip, but as I have had a few others asking about collections in and around Normandy, so I may venture forth again, if there is sufficient demand.

If you haven't planned a route yet, how can you be sure of not going too far from where you don't know you are going? :P

I can just see your Xantia baiting the Handyvan like the ladybird does other creatures in Miniscule. Gicleurs (bon etat) g et d pour 605 Ph.2 lave-phares, SVP.

The other thing I am after is 604 or early 505 rear brake calipers. Now unobtainable in the UK

Calipers are all over Australia, but at Aussie prices. Ask Ralph on AussieFrogs about his donor car - it probably has some on it.

HM/jgra1 - I'm chasing the Series 2 headlight jets (removal without breaking is a black art) and retainer wire clips, also the tow eye cover flap, right side under front bumper. All these parts are different on Series 1. A complete "pare-choc av" seems to be 60-80 Euro on Leboncoin.
