clutch plate direction (stupid question)

clutch plate direction (stupid question)

please can someone confirm the direction i should put my clutch plate on. took the old one off the other day but my new one was incorrect so have had to wait for replacement.

does the flat side face gearbox and the side with raised center face flywheel.

My first thought would be that it should be the other way around. Check that the plate sits flat against the flywheel. Note which way the kit comes out of the box, I imagine it will be the right way round. The plate may even be marked. Haynes may have a picture. What car / engine is it in - someone may have done one recently and be able to advise?

raised side goes towards the gear box/presure plate,

most of the time it wont fit flat against the flywheel the other way round,

thank you for taking time to answer a stupid question. just had a close look at it and it is obvious which way it goes.
