Citroen C5 2lt HDI 2001 - 100K miles - wheel bearing?

Post by Jeff »

Just started to hear an intermittent grinding noise coming from the front passenger side wheel, usually after turning left. I guess its a worn bearing?

Anyone else had a similar problem, idea's on the repair / cost ?

Check the brake is not binding, it can have a similar sound to a wheel bearing sometimes. Not uncommon for the handbrake cable arm on the caliper to get a bit sticky.

A drone would be a constant drone which would go off/get quieter when turning one way.
