Well I've done it

Bit the bullet, that is, and bought yet another Xantia, I know the spheres need changing but it's clean and tidy and cheap!!!! it also has 4 almost new tyres and a newish battery, just those alone would cost as much as I paid for the car!!!! oh yes and a digital radio / cd player (they normally remove them over here) so it was like being in a row boat on the atlantic coming back yesterday, just hope I can get the spheres at a reasonable price, it's a late 11/1995, Berline X18A and I'll post some photo's soon and let you know how I get on sorting it's problems, I'm bound to find some more :-)

here come the questions...........................................

I've been trolling through the parts companies for spheres and come up with "Lizarte" spheres which have a two year warranty

does anyone know of this brand?

2 x front 55 bar 20.000.0042
1 x accumulator 62 bar .0003
2 x rear 30 bar .0089
1 x anti-sink 50 bar .0046

they also shows a front pair at 70 bar and a rear pair at 40, I am reading through articles as I am writing this post and it seems that these are comfort spheres, any help relating to these spheres appreciated

Grrrrrrr

sorting the types is like pulling teeth

right I am guessing the correct type are:-

accumulator = 0003

Front pair =0042

rear pair = 0043

rear anti-sink = 0046

but also:-

front pair comfort = 0064

rear pair comfort = 0065

no idea what the difference is, can only guess that the comfort ones give you a more comfortable ride?

but surely that's what you want so why offer the normal??? ones that don't give you a comfortable ride???

can someone please explain before I pull my hair out (what little is left) and spend my money(what little is left)

thanks

Lizarte are fine. These are what Eurocarparts stock.

If you want comfort spheres then fine. Some want to go round corners with less roll so don't choose them.

Have noticed spheres are going up in price as is most stuff.

Hi lexi

Thanks for your input, I can get the spheres local to me here in France, I thought that with the higher pressures in the comfort units it would have given a harder ride, thank you for putting me right.

Will let you all know how I get on with photos of cause
