Xantia Rear Knocking sound!

Post by Ref »

I just changed the brake discs and pads all around and now it seems that there's a knocking sound coming from the rear right wheel when i drive on speed bump, any idea what might it be, is it anything serious?
Thanks

My guess would be: Rear arm bearings,
(number 9) in pic. Replacement kit is available.

I had the same problem, exactly with the same symptoms.

i changed one of the arm bearings a while ago and somehow it sounded lighter than this, this one sounds like a loose metal part.

Did you check if the spare tire is fitted securely?

it's seems that your guess were right, i went back to the garage and they said it's the rear arm bearing!!
the car has to go to MOT soon and i really don't understand why everything has to break before that :)
