I actually broke the end off my Torx bit when trying to change a droplink on my C5.

At that point I said "soddit" and heated up the bottom of the droplink until the plastic melted and broke off and I was then able to grasp the round end (ooerr missus) with a pair of moleys.

Perhaps I should have done that to start with.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
