I eventually got round to changing front/rear Hydractive and 4 corners.
40 mins On Xantia Estate.
They all unscrewed by hand
Both rear corners had split, I don't rate GSF spheres myself.
I used non hydractive for corners what a difference, lovely soft ride, feels like completely different car.
Gone from fast positive handling to motorway cruiser.
My own record for changing spheres

Split spheres should be the easiest to remove as there'll be no pressure to hold them tight.
How long had they been on the car?

That's good going
Hydractive rear corners can rupture without you being aware, I've seen it several times now...
Non-Hydractive spheres do work well for comfort but you may find damping is a little below par if things are pushed or the car is very heavily loaded...
GSF Spheres are normally not too bad...

rear keeps sinking and rising again on startup?
that sounds worrying like mine.
Since I changed all spheres (with the exception of the rear anti-sink) everything seemed as hard as before.
Got around to changing the anti-sink at the weekend and as soon as I switch the car off, it starts going down. It rises again on startup. Strange behaviour or normal?

I never changed anti-sink and rear is dropping again though only slightly, but I'm sure will slowly get worse.Rhothgar wrote:rear keeps sinking and rising again on startup?
