Xantia ABS fault

Post by i3 »

hey all...
have a fault with a xantia 1.
The abs light was lit. Read fault with Lexia and said front right and left sensors. Fitted new sensors, and the light is still lt. Read faults again, cleared them, and now a new fault has appeared; something like:

Security control unit error, or fault...

Cleared it a few times but it persists in returning.

What exactly is it??? And how to sort it out???

Thanks

Have you tried driving the car to see if the light goes out... sometimes the system needs to see the ABS rings move before it resets the light.. irrespectfull of Lexia-ing the faults or not..

Most likely your ABS relay has dirty contacts or is iffy and drops out now and again. Doubt there was anything wrong with the sensors just that the ABS relay happened to drop out a few times while they were being read.
