Yep citroen have produced the first production car fitted with He-Man dual controls as standard
The perfect car for nervous passengers and backseat drivers.
I really want to get a lift in a C3 now so i can play tricks on the driver, would be brilliant fun.....................

Not really worthy of watchdog to be fair, neither was toyota's 2deadly runnaway car" which turned out to be the mat getting wedged under the throttle , of course with nearly 80bhp its no wonder the brakes could not overcome the epic power to bring the runaway car to a stop

Usual Tabloid Telly. Not difficult to blow out of proportion either. Give em a 1961 series Landy to drive for a week !!..............you wont find the brakes under a mat either!

What's wrong wif em Cits then? Aint them cars checking their own oil?

Remember when the Renaults paintwork didnt' like pidgeon poo ? Mmm "My car sits under a tree . I refuse to move my car or frighten the flock of pigeons that are dropping on it"..........oh well tough s**t then mate..........and it was .

Like if I listen to another ejit who tells you how good Toyota HiLux are because Clarkson threw one into the sea...........oh yeah?............you dont' say !! What a lovely little make it up as we go along stunt with a happy ending that suits our purpose.

My mate rolled one down a slipway with engine running .....fried every leccy sensor and component and hydrauliced the engine like a good un

I disagree, and if Citroen UK took things like this seriously, and recalled the vehicles in question promptly, they'd avoid the bad publicity that results. Unfortunately, they'd rather bury their heads in the sand.

They didnt find out that the airbags go off without warning or the wheel nuts were made out of cheese, the problem is if the passenger kicks his foot through the carpet up under the dash then you can apply the brakes, thats like saying if your passenger reaches through the steering wheel then the driver looses the ability to steer.
besides i dont like watchdog, it serves no purpose other than to whip everyone up into a frenzy for no reason whatsoever.

So - it doesn't have some bimbo presenter who's easy on the eye? I thought that was mandatory for tabloid TV...

They had it before with the Mini, where one owner had problems with her car and the courtesy car dropping their windows.
BMW gave her a new car in the end.
Ok so a reasonably useful story with a decent outcome from the company.
Except they then went on to show a woman who was complaining that the long grass on the country track she lived down was producing a burning smell as it brushed against her cat. Well how is that BMW's fault? Mow the damn grass or buy a car with better clearance!

This happened on another car years ago - 80s/90s, I just can't remember which.
