C5 hdi battery voltage

Post by boristhespie »

How do you check that the battery voltage is correct?

What should it be?

How do you change a battery, are there steps to go through to reset thing?

Thanks in advance.

Battery voltage after overnight parking must be at least 12.5 Volts.
Warm battery after driving 12.7 V to 13 V.
You can change the battery on the quick without any ceremonials.

Story to reset the ECU copied from earlier topic:

Shut boot, doors and windows, except for the driver’s window to leave open, and also open the bonnet.
Take the key out through the open driver’s window.
Don’t touch anything to prevent the pump from correcting the height, and to allow the BSI to go to sleep.
Wait for at least a minute and then disconnect the battery.
Wait another minute and then reconnect the battery.
Still don’t touch anything for a minute, then put the key in without opening the door and turn it to the accessory position.
Leave alone for another minute, then it’s done.
