2005 C5 air filter - where is it?

Post by flipside »

I'm planning to change my air filter and pollen filter. From what I understand the pollen filter is on the front left side, behind the carpet with the light. Screw it out and replace it.

However I can't find any threads about the air filter? My C5 has air conditioning, I don't know if that makes a difference or if the filter is the same. I plan to get the actual filters at the Citröen dealer and then replace them myself.

Anyway, where is the "cabin" filter located? Do I access it from inside the car like the pollen filter, or is it in the motor compartment?

Thanks!

Item 6 is the click to open end lid for the filter. You can see the retaining hook on the lid.
The lid is located in a straight line above the figure "72" on the drawing.
Item 5 is the filter itself.

Thanks! :)

Should I just go for the filters from the Citröen dealer, or do you recommend any others?

Mine are all MANN filters - it's no use giving you the part numbers as yours will be different to mine but I get them from a friendly local spares and accessories shop.

Pollen filter was £20 and air filter £12.
