The rear of my estate now sinks (like the old BX) when left parked for any length of time. I have had it on a lexia and no faults identified. Have also had it at a non citroen garage and can find no fault. Car goes to normal height when unlocked and pump seems fine. Drives normally. Anyone any ideas. Getting to the point where I will have no option but to go to the stealers.
Hoping someone may have experienced this before and has a (simple) solution.
Many thanks

There have been a couple of other instances of this.
One was leaking seals in one of the rams - cheaply refurbish-able yourself.
The other IIRC was a leaking electrovalve that controls the height. Should be closed except when the car is lowering but this one had stuck open.
Due to lack of access this is more of a challenge and I don't know what the outcome of that was.

Sorry, I dont know the answer to this other than your comments Steve.
Though interestingly, in this months Citroenian, there is a letter about the same issue on an 07 C5. The owner has had it to the Citroen dealer who replaced the anti sink valve ..... The dealer would now like 1,700 euro for a new hydraulic pump ... just goes to show you, dealers don't usually know what they are on about!

That is the inaccessible bit - some of the valves are contained in the ECU module under the pump.Citroenmad wrote:Sorry, I dont know the answer to this other than your comments Steve.

Re: c5 estate rear suspension
My C5 went through a phase of doing this about two years ago. Since it came up immediately the doors were opened, I wasn't unduly worried. But then, suddenly the sinking stopped and now maintains its level.StevieOMG wrote:The rear of my estate now sinks (like the old BX) when left parked for any length of time.
