Do the xantia smoke more when running on veg oil ? i am using SVO.

Mine smoke less.
If it's smokey then air could be getting in, otherwise if it's when you start then change your glow plugs.

Humm, I was expecting the results you say, I am not sure if the car was smokey to start with ! I just followed the car up the road as it gets warmer it smokes more then goes away a bit until you slow down to stop, its blue smoke which is oil being burnt. I guess its probably rings as the car car has done 145k. the car is a 1.9 xud.

Another option would be the valve stem seals
