hi all dont no if any one as had this problem be for but here gose i had a nocking noise on my c4 FRONT SUSPENSION i have changed the WISHBONE ARM and BALL JOINT and the ANTI ROLL BAR DROP LINK ROD all new but i still have the nocking there when travling a long the road when the car gose up and down along the road hope some one could help me out i have checked the frive shaft and wheel bearings that seems to be fine the front shock seems to be ok to if any one can help out thanks for any info al so i would like to gige this info for any one going to attenmpt to have a go at changing the lower suspension arm un do the to bolts on the front shock and the control arm move the front shock put the frong shock out and just move it to the side undo the ball joint and the 2 bolts that holds the WISHBONE ARM remove the 2 bolts then you can remove the arm from the car hoipe that helps some one out as other wise you wont be able to remove it as i found out to my cost drivers side milage 77495
My sister runs a 1996 1.6 HDi 16v and the only suspension issue she's had
with it in 80k miles is a snapped coil spring on the front offside strut which
caused knocking and general unrefinement when driving her car. Can't see
anything else on the strut leg beyond the lower wishbone and ball joint you've
replaced unless the inner strut has somehow developed play on it's top mount.
One other odd failure she's just had to pay £350 on Thursay to correct is a
rotting AC condesnser where leaves and crap have been fed up between the
rad and the AC rad and only in 5 years rotted it out losing the liquid in the
system. Check yours out now to spare you being done over by this nasty
financial gotcha!
