dog bone removal without breaking...

Post by citrov6 »

I read it just pops of some cars, so thought it would come of in my hands, but its stuck firmly, and I don't want to apply so much force as to break it... I was wondering if it has a special way of being removed, I've not seen one unattached before so I can't even guess.
I want to grease the height corrector spring mechanism today is why I'm doing this

Thanks
Love my black v6 xant - only one with cream coloured leather too!

its basically a cup and ball, so exerting enough force will make it pop off, personally i'd just replace it with a new one upon refitting

I took a very large flat screwdriver to mine and carefully rotated it under one of the 'cups'. Came off no problem. I think you can get a bit of suction caused by grease which makes it more difficult to remove.
