Is this the rad fan switch? Xant TD

Post by vince »

Hi guys,

Im not at work so dont have access to the Cit program. Is the brown switch above the front centre hydractive sphere block the rad fan switch on a 95 TD Xant?

My fans arent kicking in at all and i remember this switch being knocked loose in the attempts to crack the sphere off. It is still plugged in but it spins around when i presume it shouldnt

Thats the hydractive plug!

The Fan switch is up on the thermostat house grouped around the Fuel Filter...

There should be NO water in that area other then in the Rad!

Vince,
If you have NO air con, the Rad switch is the BLUE large one under the Top Hose comming out of the Radiator.. you may need to look around and under the top hose at the LEFT side..

Vince, as yours is a non-aircon model, you'll most likely find the thermoswitch in the rad is the culprit. They are terribly unreliable...

Easy to change it although you'll get a bit wet in the process...
