Xantia - Fixing leakage in the pressure regulator

Post by lancia58 »

The pressure regulator in my Xantia 2.0L 16V SX ( make year 2000 ) is leaking. Any one knows how to fix it and what are Citoren’s part number for things ( I guess seals ) that need to be replaced ?

Thank

I didn’t verified from where, I have to lift it up and see . Where can it most probably be leaking from? Are there case in which the electro valve is the leaking source ? Is there a kit for complete overhauling of the regulator?

Thanks

Unless someone else can find one NO... I had a regulator leack from the bottom behind the Plastic return fixture... (They also leak from the END when a Flat Accumilator sphere has been fitted for too long)

I went to my local dealer, and he cannot find a Breakdown of the Regulator and NO seal kit.. The only seal he could get was the one on the 12mm pressure release screw....

IF Anyone knows of the seals please let me know

(Sorry to partley Hi Jack your Thread Lancia58)

How did you solve the leaking pressure regulator ? Did you fix it or replaced it to a new one ?

Thanks

Have you contacted Pleiades? They will supply a reconditioned pressure regulator and do a part ex for yours or you can take your in and they will do the necessary.

I used them about 12 months ago and they were excellent. My local Cit specialist fitted the parts - I went for pressure regulator and rear height corrector as both were causing a few problems.

Pliedes are mentioned a few times on the forum - if you do a search you will find the references.

Good luck! :)

I strangley didnt find them helpfull once... I was after a pipe.. And waited weeks for any comunication which i didnt get... I gave up in the end and sourced a pipe else where...

I know they are Very good but a slow service isnt really helpfull. If i can get seals ill fit them myself.....

There was a message here in FCF with nice pics of the regulator seal replacement job.
Was it CitroJim or another member ?? I don't remember. Regulator spring was hold with
a carpenter tool, called F Cramp (I hope correct name) on a work bench.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics at the moment.
