C5 rear axle bushes

Post by Allanxantia »

Has anyone had to replace these, getting a bit of noise from the back over bumps, checked the trailing arm bearings which seem absolutely fine, but seems to be quite a bit of flex in the bushes.

have a look on the swinging arm, there should be a rubber pointing upwards either side that travel up on the arm. mine had one missing when I got a knockin noise over speed bumps.dead simple job, they just pop out and replace with new ones, not expensive either. I cant check proper as I sold my c5 with gritted teeth as we needed more seats and went for the c8 (c5 best car i ever had) :)
