Xantia 2.0hdi

Post by jcdel »

My thrust bearing is screaming and I need to know what bhp my engine is.GSF say that my reg. does not come up on the computer even though it has in the past? Its a "W" reg 2.0hdi.They have supplied spheres in the past for a 90 bhp but now its a grey area apparently.Is there any definite tell tale .
I'll post again if there are any developements. Thanks

If it's a 110 there will be a large rubber hose from the intercooler running to the inlet manifold, parallel with the airbox on the battery side of the engine bay.

Thanks for that! Now I've looked closer no there isn't said hose and I feel a plonker but I've found a clutch cable.I consider it a bonus though not having to mess around with clutch hydraulics.Could be wrong but I'm sure Haynes stated that the 2.0 Hdi had an hydraulic clutch with 2 main differences mainly early had the one piece sealed master and slave and later had individual components. Thanks again.

The HDi 90 has the BE3/5 gearbox with a cable clutch. The 110 has a ML5T and a hydraulic clutch.

The Haynes manual isn't entirely accurate for HDi models, I'm sure they just copied and pasted a load of things from previous editions. The Haynes is referring to HDi 110 and the 2.1TD when it speaks of sealed and non-sealed systems.

Look at your VIN - starting from the 6th character it will either be RHY or RHZ.

RHY = HDi 90
RHZ = HDi 110
