C8 injector coding

Post by Simon99 »

Hi, recently been repairing a 2005 C8 2.2hdi with broken cambelt. Unfortunately, to do this had to destroy all 4 injectors in the process. (Sheared heads off and drilled out shafts!!!)
All rebuilt now with new rocker arms and just fitted some used injectors from a 2003 C5 2.2hdi. The engine will now start but runs rough and lacks power. Was wondering if these injectors needed coding to the ECU? Have looked through other posts and didn't think they did but not much on the topic. Maybe I'm looking at a faulty injector(s). The injector bosch part no. is: 0445110 036, both sets I beleive are classe 2.
Any advise greatly appreciated.

Bosch injectors from that age of C5 should'nt need coding. you can even put a different class of injector in as long as all four are all the same.
Have you set up the little cam chain that drives the inlet camshaft properly ?

Thanks for the reply. At least saves the purchase of a Lexia for the time being. The engine was out the vehicle when I put the head back on so took my time making sure the cam chain was all set up correctly with marks on chain aligning to marks on sprockets. Will have a go at a leak off test tomorrow.
Thanks.
