Yes, down to just 8 now after selling my other C5 a few weeks ago.

Given that its me who generally looks after them, im happy with 8. Having time to look after a few cars isn't always easy, but its what I enjoy doing! Though ive been thinking what to fill the 9th parking place with

I'll just tag onto this thread 5 days too late (as usual)

My S1 1.9TD happily did 127 indicated (122 on SatNav - surely more accurate) on the Autobahn coming back from Austria early Jan 2011.

It surprised me! Especially when I got home and the original manual with the car advised 111 or 115 depending on model.

Currently running 100% bio (from WVO). Noisier but stink goes like a stinky chip shop that haven't changed their oil for a while. Hilarious!

I sometimes take great joy out of putting my foot down and holding it at higher than normal revs hoping the queue jumping buggers behind get a whiff and it must make them think.

Sat navs are usually 100%accurate, so 127.....gulp...it is then!

Is that engine absolutely standard? De-cat? Turbo turned up?

Amazing.

If you get one with a 2.0, 8 valve engine it should be OK.

Given up on VW T4 van conversions for multi use , work and leisure, because of the ridiculously high prices being asked for what many are simply just ex builders skips.

A 1.9 will be an XUD based engine, DW something, should be reliable but not very fast.

1800cc. Not exactly a tarmac burner with staggering 60 bhp, but hey, who cares.

Don't suppose you can recognise the fuel pump make from the piccy can you?

That sounds like a non turbo early XUD engine, again reliable but won't set the road alight.

The C15 Romahomes really hold their value and are surprisingly popular.

I think the C15 is a great little van, its been years since i was in an ordinary one but I find ours very quiet and refined - however the front is all seats with the box on the back for the van. Most vans are just an empty box behind the driver and are hideously noisy, even modern vans. The C15 derived from a car and I think thats why its quite a civilised thing.

I imagine the romahome weighs quite a bit more than an ordinary van, so its not going to be quick, but they are very usable. Ours weighs a lot more and still uses the original 1.7D XUD engine, its slow but superbly reliable.

1.7 and 1.9 XUD PSA engines are pretty hardy and reliable, you can't go far wrong.

On the Visa Forum there's some chaps that use them daily and are very happy with them.

Meanwhile, I'm getting very weary trying to sort out what is going to be best.
As much as the Roma would be idea in so many ways...power is not something I'm really that bothered about for a work and leisure horsel, I can see me having problems fitting customers car seats for repair into it that have to be taken to my mates trim shop.
This lot think I'm barkin' too, (probably true tbh

)but that's just another issue.

However, the best source of information and more pictures is here on the Visa forum in my gallery thread.

I really need to get some better pictures of it, or at least more, as I have very few. I don't think ive got one of its load area even.

It should be making an appearance at at least one of this years CCC events. Most likely the Stratford or DSM events, and ill be driving it to the ICCCR in 2012 too.

If its a tidy little van which will be reliable and good to drive that your after, then you cant go far wrong with a C15. I saw a very very tidy 05reg C15 today with 60K miles for £1995, a bargain!

Why do some people ramble on about totally inane unimportant and irrelevant features on their car?
I don't really need to know that the air bags can be switched off in case I have a child seat to fit, and I'm not really interested in the fact that I can have the rear load cover half open or fully closed either tbqh.

Oh, and its got trafficmaster if I want to subscribe to it too apparently. WOW, but no thanks!

No. I need to know about its service history, cambelt, water pump, piulleys, hydraulics, electrics etc etc.., and that's waht I've asked him to confirm or otherwise.

Meanwhile, if I can swoop on that for the current starting bid of £500, I may well go and have a look.

It might be worth mentioning if the owner has put the car into low or if the anti-sink is not working.

I agree, there are very little to no details about the cars service history, which is what any buyer should want to know.

Short reply from my enquiry was....cam belt changed last year, other than that, no history, sorry.
What? NO history over 216,000miles?
