Not as far as I am aware, however be aware that you will need a Lexia to reset the light as it will be recorded as a permanent fault.
Not sure what insurance would say to having it missing either.

question
so it be wise to put it back together then, and am having the car put into garage to get it reset bcause it were on b4 anyway, no point buying a tool that only going to get used once or twice, dont suppose ye know wat size the centre bolt is for the steering wheel, its a xantia, btw,
The nut is 21 mm from what I remember.
Undo the nut by a few turns only if you remove the steering wheel to prevent it from hitting you in the face.
Also carefully separate the black two-part slipring connector tucked in the wheel because if the slipring rips apart it may never be good again.
If the airbag light is on for no reason, it’s usually caused by dodgy connectors under the front seats.

I did just that on my first car, a 105E Anglia, hammering away at the back of it to release it from the spline.Clogzz wrote:The nut is 21 mm from what I remember.

Strange how a severe nose bleed and two black eyes can teach you what NOT to do in the future.

I somehow feel so much better now in the knowledge that I am NOT the only doughnut in the world.
