picasso officianados needed!!!!

Post by deano1970 »

hi,
ok i have an 02 picasso 1.8 petrol. coming home tonight i stopped for fuel, set off home and the radio went off, although still displayed the pre set station I had on. I tried another, then another, then tried searching for stations, nothing. not a murmer.....now there is not even a hiss or crackle If I turn up the volume to full.

I went through the audio settings bass, treble etc,and came to auto vol on.I couldn't switch this off, what ever I pressed.I don't think that is the problem anyway cos it's set to on.I had no cd's in the car and so haven't been able to try that yet,but what could this problem be? the radio is powering up ok and if I press one of the pre set stations it goes to it,but nothing and if I search,as I say,it just keeps scrolling, just went without warning....Any help be much appreciated,thanks,dean.......... :(

I don't have a fix but my radio has also gone silent a few times and I just turn off the ignition and when I switch back on the radio comes back.

I put it down to French electrics.

Our 2002 C5 loves BBC Radio 2, unfortunately. If you turn off the car and leave it playing a CD it tunes all of the preset stations to BBC2 :?

I have a C5 radio in the garage which lost its ability to play the radio, so it might be that ...
