Help with a LHM Fluid Change

Post by brmartyn »

Hi everybody,

I'm after a favour - Is they anybody in my area (ish) that could help me with a LHM fluid change on my Xantia?

I don't really have the knowledge or experiance to want to do it on my own.

I currently have the hydroFlush Fluid in the system and I need to get it changed ASAP!

Many thanks in advance.

Brady.

If you hadn't moved up North Brady, I'd have been very happy to... Sadly now, distance is a bit of a handicap...

I'm certain someone soon will come to your aid...

The rinse won’t cause any harm, it’s certain to be mostly LHM.
In 12 years of Xantia ownership, I’ve siphoned the LHM out of the tank with a transparent plastic hose, probably four times all up.
I’ve never used rinse and flushed the brakes only once ever, and never had hydraulic problems.

The car must be on low suspension setting to return as much fluid as possible to the tank.
It’s not possible to entirely empty the system of LHM or rinse, and Citroen knows that and allowed for it.
If you have concerns about dirty rinse in the system, you can siphon and refill for now and later check the colour of the LHM.
