Post by Diabolical »

Does the Xantia 2.0 CT have a different spark plug than the 2.0 recommended 0.7mm :?:

No so far as I know David. 0.7 mm sounds about right.

Why do you ask?

according to autodata the gap seems to change depending on the make of plug, is it 8 valve?

.7mm is too small, 1mm is about right if all the other components are working fine, you want a gap as big as possible without it blowing out on boost or misfiring. I never used to run .7mm on the Maestro and that had a dizzy based ignition system and conventional coil, the Xantia has much more ignition power so use it!

Whatever they come out the box gapped as these days, I don't think plugs have needed gapping for many years unless you're using some crazy state of tune. I've never had an issue.

I'm with you there Benc5 just out the box and into the engine. I did that with the 205 and the 107. Can't remember if I changed them on the Megane.
