OK, it seems that the only way to analyse faults bringing up the 'anti polution fault' warning is to use a Lexia. I have found these between £150 and £500 so does anybody have a recomendation for supplier at the lower end of the scale? It strikes me at the £150-£200 mark that it is good value compared to garage prices. Thanks for any recommendations.

Getting the right Lexia

I bought one not too long ago from: China OBD Shop
They posted quickly and it arrived in good time even over the christmas period. It came with everything I needed (it didn't include the connector for older citroens though) but depending on your car this won't matter. They were cheaper than most places at the time and I have no complaints.
I also found this place: UOBD2
The only reason I didn't buy from these people at the time was it was more expensive but typically a few days later they reduced their prices.
Both of these places I have mentions are selling for under £100 with free delivery.
Hope this helped.
