When I worked for Audi, a few years ago, all parts had a one year warranty, even bulbs. If the customer had something replaced at Audi then the part and labour was covered under warranty. Not that the customers were told that though unless they asked.

I sent my Activa in for MOT on Saturday to be told by the MOT tester that both of the Activa rams have fluid dripping from them.

This is irritating as the car has only just ticked over 50k miles.

I'm seriously thinking of approaching Glasgow Citroën and asking them for a group buy discount and seeing what they'll offer for buying 5 fronts and 5 rears.

Anyone interested in a ram?

David.

My front one just has a green coating of fluid on it, so it's damp rather then leaking.

My rear one is a mess, if I lay the car up over night when i go into the workshop I've got a puddle running out from under the car.

I'm weeping (literally) because I have yet another absolute rotter of a cold  I just don't know what's going on. This winter it's been one after another...

Work was so busy yesterday I had no opportunity to slip away early and go to the dealer to discuss ram matters. With this cold, today I'll not be going there today either and as the invoice is dated 01/02/2010 it looks like the window is now closed to claim on any warranty that might have been in place. I'm weeping metaphorically about that.

Ohh well, I'll just have to repair it... Some time when the weather is better and I don't have a cold...

You reported the fault a few days ago didn't you jim?
That should be enough to keep it within the year warranty.
Even if they say no you can always take the small claims route.

Aye! Aye!

If you called them and discussed then this should be enough.

Hope you got the guy's name!
