Danielle and I have a plan, she wins the lottery and we buy one of the houses we've seen with a large courtyard and several garages, install a lift in one garage, build a couple of barns in the gardens and fill them with Xantias and maybe one or two Xm's.
FCF members would of course be welcome to just drop by and use the facilities.

Dean, anything is possible in dreams!

Its slightly worrying that the LHM source is drying up at the Citroen dealers. Im slightly concerned at how fast spare parts are being discontinued or the supply just running out.

I went to get a boot liner for the C5 a few weeks ago. I ordered it, paid for it and then went to collect it. They said that the part is now discontinued. What! That shape of C5 has not even been out of production for 3 years! I know its an accessory part, but still.

When i was trying to source brake discs for the front of the Xm I was met with a few places saying they could no longer get hold of them.

It's strange, I was in Halfrauds on Saturday picking up some things to do a quick service on Cassy. Looked through the car list things they have to find out what oil filter to get and there were no Xantia pages, but there were CX pages!

I had a similar experience, i was in Halfords on Sunday (only place open on sunday for service parts round here) trying to get service items for a Skoda Felicia (dont ask!, balaclava was included in this car luckily) but their pages didnt list them, but it did for a Favorit, which is older. So I had to ask, and as thought they didnt have the bits i needed.

Last time I tried to get some Mk1 Xantia rear brake pads from Halfrauds with my trade card, the guy on the service desk told me that they no longer carried them as a stock item and that they/I would have to order them in.
I declined gracefully and went to GSF and got them from there instead...

All you need is a decent, upstanding Architect - like me!

And perhaps a decent qualified independent Town Planner on your side if the going gets tough!

can you not just get LHM from somewhere else? local motor factors does Morris LHM+ for about £3 a bottle.

Not unique to Citroen, lots of farm stuff / plant uses it.

LHm of course will always be available, i think the concern is more to do with citroen washing its hands of the only thing other than the badge that would tell it apart from whichever pug it was based on, now there appears to be one company selling 1 single car under two names with no difference between them.

To be honest i should really be getting myself a drum of LHM, it would make more sense to some of the fleet owners, i know the Activa seems to gulp 3 litres every time a component is removed, ive gone through 2 gallons in the last 6 months easily and i have to bleed the brakes on the xantia yet

Unfortunatly our JCB telehandler doesnt use LHM, if it did work would keep drums of the stuff.

Just swung into the local pug/cit dealer and picked up a litre of total lhm+ for £6.90
They've got about 23 in stock and said they always try to keep at least 20 in stock with no plans to stop.
