Drivers side steering rack gaitor

Post by xantiasmiff »

Just giving my xantia hdi a look over prior to mot and noticed the steering rack boot is split on the drivers side. Is this a difficult job to do ? Any hints or tips greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ian.

Drivers side is the easy side!! Theres no PAS ram Spigot to stretch the boot over.

Pretty straight forward, Id say. Remove the track rod off the hub, and remove the boot...

Yes, so mark it up before you disturb the track rod and you will be able to get it back where you started.
